With Covid closures behind us, the Herman Miller Park Board Members have set the date for the annual benefit auction. We are excited to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of this great park that Herman Miller established in 1992.
The board is encouraged with the community’s interest in parks clean up, continuing planned upgrades and increasing accessibility to all the equestrian kids and families.
The Herman Miller Park is a 30-acre parcel donated by Herman Miller to benefit the Whatcom County 4H Youth Equestrian program. The property includes a full-size outdoor arena, miles of trails and a meeting facility that is about 95% complete. The facility is currently being used to host 4H club meetings, leader meetings, as well as other equestrian related events (i.e.– Whatcom County’s Back Country Horsemen Assoc and the Miller Family Reunions).
The board is asking local businesses and residents to donate auction items or cash to continue maintaining and improving the park’s vision. Your contribution will help us to support a safe and healthy facility for Whatcom County equestrian youth and families.
If you have a gift certificate or cash donation, please mail, or email it directly to me. If you have an actual item that you’d like to donate, please contact us to arrange a drop off time and location. If necessary, we are available for pick up.
